About This Project

In conjunction with the Furman University Culinary Club, students seek funding to expand a newly-created web service called FoodUp. This website (foodup.us) presents daily recipes that use ingredients available in the Dining Hall.

Message From The Project Leader

I have always enjoyed Computer Science, and I try to use what I learn in the classroom to solve problems around me. After my freshman year at Furman, I realized many students were not satisfied with the food options in the Dining Hall. I decided to create a web service called FoodUp, which lets students share their own recipes of new foods they can make using ingredients found in the Dining Hall. This web service will allow students to get creative and make a variety of new foods not offered on campus. I have already built the general shape of the website (check it out here!), but I would like to add more functionality, buy a server to host the website, upload new recipies, and launch a FoodUp app on campus. I hope you'll support my project!
