Established in 1999 and named after a celebrated teacher and scholar, the Charles L. Brewer Endowment Fund is dedicated to the improvement of undergraduate teaching and research. It is the primary source of support for our outstanding summer undergraduate research program.

Our newest endowment, the Gil Einstein Fund for Psychology was established in 2019 to support students’ research and internship experiences, as well as student conference travel to present research done in collaboration with the faculty in our department.

Named after Dr. Gerda McCahan, the McCahan Colloquium Fund allows us to host premiere scholars from other institutions who come to Furman to share their latest research.

The Lib Nanney Endowed Fund continues the legacy of a beloved department assistant who is remembered for her generous support of students in need.
