Class of 1976 - 40th Reunion
November 4-6, 2016

Dear Classmates of '76:

Here we go again! It is time for another fantastic reunion. It has been 40 years since we gathered at McAlister Auditorium. Do you remember: long lines at registration, the dorm switchboard and answering a phone call on the "hall" phones, CLP credits, watching "streakers," studying for hours in the library, walking around the lake, throwing our "friends" in the lake!, house parties, the Droopers (let's have a great turn out this year, guys!), fraternity food fights, and working in the dining hall? Let's make a commitment to share our memories and catch up with our current lives.

The University is planning an array of activities from which you might choose. Details will arrive later this summer. Events specifically for the Class of '76 are being arranged by a small group of your classmates and include:

Friday, November 4

6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Gather with classmates at the home of Julie Simons Smith and Lindsay Smith (121 Stonehaven Drive, Greenville, SC 29607) for a casual party Friday evening. Please register so we know how many to expect.

Saturday, November 5

11 a.m. Department Drop-ins, Furman Mall
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Alumni Tailgate and Reunion Village, Furman Mall (Near McAlister Circle)
1:30 p.m. Furman vs. Wofford Football Game
4:30 - 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening – will be open for dinner with friends
7:30 - 10 p.m. Furman on Main, Village Green at the Courtyard by Marriott Greenville Downtown

We are asking that each of you consider attending as well as calling your "gang" to join you. The more folks that attend, the more fun we'll have! Please contact the Alumni and Parent Engagement Office to update your information at alumni@furman.edu .

As time marches on in our lives, these gatherings become more important to reminisce and enjoy our memories. In August, you will be receiving more information about securing football tickets and other events. Make your plans now! We appreciate your participation five years ago—we had the best attendance of ANY class. Let's do it again!—76ers!
