Class of 2002 - 15th Reunion
Homecoming 2017, October 20 - 22

During the fall of 1998, as Dawson began to realize his true feelings for Joey Potter, we began to immerse ourselves in the world of Furman. While the Furman campus saw many visitors from beyond the campus sphere, ranging from Blues Traveler and Edwin McCain to George W. Bush and John McCain, many of us found ourselves focused on life inside the pristine gates. Instead of discussing politics or current events, you may have begun your day by asking another classmate, “How awesome was that TKE Studio 54 party?” Instead of the Washington Post, you may have been reading the Crime Briefs in the Paladin and exclaimed to your roommate, “Someone stole a FUPO golf cart dressed as the Cat in the Hat!” 

While those days may be far behind us, we hope memories such as those, or perhaps a rendezvous at the bell tower, getting the last black bean cake from the Bistro Lady, wearing your jersey for the first or last time, performing in The Playhouse, finally completing all your CLP’s, quarter beer night at the Thirsty Dog, or any number of other great moments will warm your heart and compel you to come back and visit for our 15-Year Reunion. Join us and remember a time when the Kardashians weren’t a thing, flip phones were cool, and TV stars rarely entered politics. We have a great slate of events planned, and we look forward to sharing a great weekend with all our classmates! The University is planning an array of activities from which you might choose. Details will arrive in August. Events specifically for the Class of 2002 are being arranged by a small group of your classmates and include:

Friday, October 20

7 - 11p.m.	Float building and Family Friendly Carnival on the Furman Mall
8 p.m.	Bonfire

Saturday, October 21

11:00 a.m.	Department Drop-ins, Furman Mall
11 – 1 p.m.	Alumni Tailgate and Reunion Village, Furman Mall (Near McAlister Circle)
1:30 p.m.	Furman vs. Mercer Football Game
6 – 8 p.m.	Class of 2002 Reception at Sip Whiskey & Wine Bar NEW VENUE
8:30 - 11:30 p.m.	Furman on Main – The Official After-Party. Ink N Ivy, Downtown Greenville ($5 includes two drink tickets and appetizers.)
