Class of 1972 - 45th Reunion
Homecoming 2017, October 20 - 22

Warm greetings to everyone in the class of 1972!   As we prepare for our 45th reunion this year, it is impossible not to take a few minutes to reminisce a bit on our Furman years.  We all share the memories of living on our unusually beautiful campus…attending countless chapels and convocations...studying (sometimes frantically) in the library…socializing in the dining hall... cheering on the Paladins at ball games...singing Brown Eyes...forming lasting friendships…and walking by the lake with Paris Mountain as a backdrop.  Our shared experiences unite us and give us a commonality, which is unique to our class.  

Homecoming 2017 will give us the opportunity to come together again after 45 years and relish a beautiful fall day on campus, reconnect with our fellow classmates, and see what has remained the same and what has changed.  A lot has changed since 1972!  So come see for yourselves on October 20 - 22, as we gather on campus once again to enjoy being a part of the Furman community!

The University is planning an array of activities from which you might choose. Details will arrive in August.  Events specifically for the Class of ’72 are being arranged by a small group of your classmates and include:  

Friday, October 20

7 - 11p.m.	Float building and Family Friendly Carnival on the Furman Mall
8 p.m.	Bonfire

Saturday, October 21

11:00 a.m.	Department Drop-ins, Furman Mall
11 – 1 p.m.	Alumni Tailgate and Reunion Village, Furman Mall (Near McAlister Circle)
1:30 p.m.	Furman vs. Mercer Football Game
2:30 - 4:00 p.m.	Wine & Cheese Drop-In for the Class of '72 at Cherrydale Alumni House (Feel free to join us In lieu of game or following half-time.)
4:30 - 6:30 p.m.	Reunion Class Gathering at the Paddock Restaurant in the Trone Student Center, formerly Tupelo Honey (Immediately following the game.)
8:30 - 11:30 p.m.	Furman on Main – The Official After-Party. Ink N Ivy, 21 E Coffee Street, Downtown Greenville ($5 includes two drink tickets and appetizers.)

What to do now:

• REGISTER TODAY for your 45th Reunion at Homecoming 2017, October 20 – 22.
• Visit the Schedule of Events to see a comprehensive list of weekend festivities. 
• Contact your friends from the class of ’72 to make sure they are planning to be there.
• Listen to your class reunion playlist.
